The Personal Data Protection Department (PDPD) recorded 130 cases of data breach up until June this year. This is a fourfold increase from the total cases recorded in 2022. We discuss the factors that led to the number of cases rising rapidly, the measures that need to be taken to protect our personal data, and what the line is between convenience and privacy.
