Last weeks episode of ‘Data Protection Made Easy’ was one of our most popular yet, we hosted back to back webinars on Information Sharing with over 200 Data Protection Practitioners joining us live!
 
We were only just getting warmed up and had a lot left still to cover, we had tons of questions and queries and decided to host Part 2 with a follow on discussion from last week.
 
During this week’s episode, we focus on Artificial Intelligence in Safeguarding!

Data Protection People work with several schools, colleges, universities and multi-academy trusts and the common questions asked are about Data Sharing, Safeguarding and Data Protection, we worked with our clients and subscribers to tailor a podcast specifically to the education sector so we can discuss common challenges and share our ideas and insights on finding solutions to those challenges. 

On the 29th of September, we hosted a webinar on Safeguarding and Data Sharing. Our top consultants Philip Brining, Oliver Rear and David Holmes were joined by 100's of Data Protection Practitioners within the Education sector to discuss the various shared challenges.

A Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) is a process to help you identify and minimise the data protection risks of a project. You must do a DPIA for processing that is likely to result in a high risk to individuals.

When the GDPR was first introduced it caused a lot of confusion among business owners, many of which had no idea what the document was for and also when it is required.
