Women on the Brink began as a personal inquiry — an attempt to understand how I kept tripping myself up, not just in romantic relationships, but in my life. I was curious about how smart, capable women (myself included) quietly abandon themselves in ways that are almost invisible. Over time, one truth became clear: women don’t want another conversation about how to attract love — they want to understand how to stop losing themselves.
That’s why I’m so glad to welcome back Kim Protopappas as a regular voice on the show. This week, we begin with a simple but powerful question that when Kim said she had come to genuinely love and value herself. What does that actually look like in real life? How does valuing yourself change the pace of connection, the way your body responds, the choices you make? This conversation is about becoming more honest, and finally learning how to stay with yourself. Because sometimes the relationship we’ve been preparing for all along… is the one with ourselves.
