Daren is joined by Dave Hakstol to talk about being the first head coach of the Seattle Kraken (5:00). Dave explains how the opportunity came about, the philosophies he shares with Kraken GM Ron Francis and why he's so grateful for another chance to coach in the NHL. He talks about how analytics is incorporated into his coaching style and shares the best advice he's ever got from one of his mentors (it has to do with dogs). He looks back at his experience coaching in the NCAA and with the Philadelphia Flyers and the lessons that he will take with him to Seattle.
