The 11th annual Fort 2 Fort charity cycle is taking place on Saturday 29th of October. Registration for the event is still open online until 1pm on Friday 28th of October. Or alternatively you can register at the Raddison Blu Hotel from 4.30- 8 pm also on the Friday, the final chance to register is at Crosshaven Soccer between 8 and 9 am. The event is raising money for the Mercy University Hospital Foundation, four Cork City and County Lions Clubs, and Camden Fort Meagher Restoration. In association with Cork County Council, Re-use Republic took place in the IRD (Irish Rural Development) Duhallow headquarters in Newmarket Tuesday 25th from 2-7pm. It involved exhibits, workshops in recycling furniture and also Trisha of Trisha's Transformation will be wrapping up proceedings on how not to waste food.
