It's taking place in Youghal's Regal Cinema and the Mall Arts Centre. 200 films will be screened from March 7th -11th. The age range of participants is from 12-25. They will have their films screened, be able to attend workshops as well as get the opportunity to receive a €5,000 bursary as part of the best music video award. The Karen Fenton Memorial 5k run is taking place on April 23rd, at 12.30 pm.It's a tribute and fundraising event in aid of 43 year old Karen who sadly lost her battle with ovarian cancer in April of 2017. The first memorial event happened 12 months later. The aim of the memorial run is to raise much needed funds for those who are battling ovarian cancer as well as for research into the illness. It's also an opportunity for members of the public to "Run To Remember" their loved ones. Jack and his twin Cian are Desmond Bros Media, which is a Film and TV company. As teens, the Timoleague lads had films screened at the Fresh Film Festival. Their creative juices started to flow when they were required to carry out a history project in 6th class, then when they went to secondary school they discovered a large number of their peers had an interest in acting. Jack gives his top tips for producing a film and explains that it's the type of thing that anyone can do.
