Today, I explore the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. First, I provide some background on the attraction - how did it come to be? What's the back story? And then, come along and take a walk through the outside and queue of the attraction, followed by a ride on it. Its a little love to an attraction that most people run to for the thrill aspect. But the story is actually pretty interesting.
On today's podcast, I am in the Magic Kingdom, checking out the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. Its a fun, interactive experience. Join me as I describe the experience, how it works, and set out to save the kingdom!
First things first. I play part of an interview that Rick Brigante did with Imagineer Jonathan Ackley. I provide it for context, but want to give full credit to Rick. You should visit his site and check out his work. He provides a thorough look at all things Disney... Inside the Magic
Now I will admit, I didn't love this. I liked it, but I didn't feel like it was enough - since you stand on a pad and wave a card and get sent to the next destination. While the animation is great and its entertaining, I just found that it wasn't as interactive as I would like, and it took away from other things I wanted to do. I have more fun looking for Hidden Mickeys!!
But if you want to spend a little of your trip checking it out, its worth admiring the technology and the animation! And you can always stop at any point and pick it up later - or another day or even another trip!
Welcome to part 2 of our discussion on cruising Disney Style! "Freind of the Show" Curt recently returned from a cruise into the Caribbean and is here to tell us all about it. Tune in, and enjoy...maybe it will inspire you to take a cruise!
On this podcast, its all about taking a cruise - Disney style! "Freind of the Show" Curt recently returned from a cruise into the Caribbean and is here to tell us all about it. Tune in, and enjoy...maybe it will inspire you to take a cruise! This is part 1 of a 2-part series.
It's my 100th podcast! In celebration of this milestone, I bring you 100 fun things to do at Walt Disney World. Think of it as a kind of bucket list.
Now they're done somewhat rapid-fire, and generally look beyond the theme park and just riding attractions. There is SO MUCH to do and see, and I hit on many of them. But certainly not all of them. Feel free to share your bucket list below with me - and everyone!
I admit I have not managed to do all of these - but I want to!
Live from Disney's Hollywood Studios, Dave takes on Star Wars Weekend! Join me as I tour around telling stories, and sharing the experience. Listen in on part of the parade, and HyperSpace Hoopla. And come for a ride on Star Tours. Its a fun time!
Live from DisneyWorld, its a look at the FantasyLand expansion. I wander around and tell you everything I see, read some signs, and explain some of the timelines as I understand them. I also take a ride on the soon-to-be-closed Snow White ride. Then, I head over to Epcot to see what I can learn about the Agent P experience that is coming up in June.
Hey Where's Perry?
Time for another round of Q and A! Included this time are questions about day passes to the parks, driving in from a resort off property, what to do with an extra day, gift cards, a question about christmas time, a Horizons throwback of sorts, and finally a question about being afraid of rides. Kick your shoes off and take a listen. And do keep those questions coming [email protected].
I often get asked which ones are *MY* favortie restaurants, so on this podcast I tell you.
There are 9 restaurants listed, along with 5 that are no longer the same - but which I loved in their previous incarnation. I won't tell you my top 9 here (you have to listen!) but I will tell you that the 5 include: Ariel's, Minnie's Menehune Breakfast, King Stefan's, 1900 Park Fare, and the Tusker House.
Do you have a list? Feel free to post it in the comments.
...And at the end of the podcast, I introduce my new app to help you with Pin Trading.http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pin-trading/id521552029?mt=8
Enjoy!
On this podcast, I am on location. But NOT at Disney World. Instead, I visit the recently-opened LegoLand which is south of the Disney Parks. I give you my thoughts and explain the lay of the land. I know, I've been talking about things other than Disney World of late - don't worry, I'll be back to that soon!
Welcome
Love how the sign says to keep off the legos. Ha.
