In Psalm 51 David confesses a terrible sin in a prayer to God. Our prayers are a mirror on our spiritual health. If we never ask for forgiveness, it reveals an assumption that we have nothing to forgive. The Psalm 51 prayer says a lot about what it means to turn from sin. Especially potent is how God wants our hearts.
