David Diez is co-founder of OpenIntro, a nonprofit focused on bringing textbooks to students, no matter their financial means. In this interview, Leanpub co-founder Len Epp talks with David about his background, working in statistics from both the academic and the business perspective, OpenIntro and its mission, why textbooks are so expensive and possible parallels with the US healthcare industry, and at the end, they talk a little bit about writing and publishing OpenIntro's textbooks.
