Eyewitness Lotfi Benadouda describes what he saw during the four-day siege by Islamic militants earlier this month at the In Amenas gas plant in Algeria.
Benadouda is a manager at the plant who was taken hostage during the terrorist attack. Here he describes what he saw at the central processing plant during the siege. He is among the nearly 700 Algerian hostages to survive the ordeal in the Sahara carried out by jihadists. One Algerian and at least 37 foreign workers were killed in the siege.
Benadouda was speaking to journalists at the In Amenas as part of a media tour of the site. The questions here are asked by a BBC correspondent.
