Initially we talk about his introduction to Krav Maga. Why some people flee the first martial arts experience and how and why some lean into the experience. It may not be what you think.
The human condition gets tackled and we find a new angle on the idea of people wanting other people to be happy. In short, is the desire built or innate? The subject of, “Dumb Injury” comes up and we find one of David’s dumb and self-inflicted injuries.
We don’t learn why the young woman disregarded a simple heads-up call about a potential threat, never the less we all do to some degree. Then we go ahead and dissect her actions to the best of our abilities.
We share the same publisher YMAA and we take a moment to tell you why YMAA is so good at what they do.
Professional Athletes & Krav Maga
Having worked with several sectors of professional sports the question gets asked, “Are pro athletes a different breed of human?” David’s answer is quick and then he explains why and how.
Tackling a big question, “Are humans, by nature violent?”
Life is different than self-defense and yet it is not. Then we conclude with the a tumbling conclusion that they more like a ying-yang symbol than you think. Sometimes one will dominate over the other.
