As is often the case I really didn’t have enough time to talk properly to David about his amazing experiences on a bike. We did manage to cover his getting into cycling in Cambridge and follow through the start of his career which took him to teams in , Belgium, France , the UK and then Italy. From his base there he rode some UCI 1.1 races and has fond memories of being on the wheel of the likes of Damiano Cunego and Cadel Evans. I hope to get David back on later in the year to talk about much more including the Tour of Costa Rica and, closer to home, the Rob McLean Junior Triathlon which is named after David’s dad.
