2 Samuel chapter 1 tells of David learning his enemy King Saul has died. David's best friend Jonathan has died. David brings justice to the one who claimed to have killed the king, which is a picture of those who attempt to leverage benefits from God instead of trusting his grace. Then David mourns his enemy and his friend together, an example of honoring our rulers - even the terrible ones.
