In the ACT, there has been a surge in support for independents with Senator David Pocock doubling his vote and easily retaining his Senate seat.

The normally safe Labor seat of Bean, in the south of Canberra, is too close to call, with the independent candidate Jessie Price neck and neck with David Smith.
