It's easy to say that our economy is in uncharted waters. We've never seen an economy like this, where large sectors of the economy are simply shutdown. Many are confined to their homes. Away from their daily routine. Unable to go to work, to shop or take the kids to school as they normally would.
And for many, they've lost their jobs entirely. Over the last 5 weeks we've had 30 million workers loose their jobs, and another 3 million are expected to join that group this week.
For these workers, their lost wages also mean lost dollars that would normally be spent on purchases of the goods and services that run this economy. This makes any projections on the future of the economy difficult if not impossible.
