When our plans encounter a major redirection beyond our control, our initial reaction is to try and make sense of the situation. In the midst of the wondering, we must remember that it is not our job to understand everything in the moment. Instead, we must depend on God even in the unknown. Through this dependency, God transforms us. He also gives us perseverance and new perspective. It is the valleys in life that teach us what we can't learn on the mountaintops. And in that, we grow and gain deliverance from the Lord.

Though deliverance may not come easy, we must wrestle through the detour to grow as God intended us to. We can trust that God will help us. He is faithful to bring his promises to fulfillment and provide us the faith we need to believe even when the route takes us through the great unknown.
