We confess our sins to one another because Jesus is worthy of our pure hearts.
Coming to the table with friends and or family can often highlight what is going on in our own heart, and show us if we have something against a brother or sister.
Confession builds trust because it shows humility and encourages others around us to walk in joyful repentance. It also ups the standard of integrity and shows that we can come with vulnerability and be accepted.
James 5:16
‘Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another to be healed.’
Confession and repentance can feel like a scary thing - but repentance is freeing, builds unity, and brings healing that brings life.
Jesus is worthy!
