In eps. #17, hear Ryan Montgomery’s (assistant director of David’s Tent DC) story - from being marked at a young age for 24/7 worship & prayer to helping pioneer the first 40 days of continuous worship on the White House Ellipse in 2012.

At the age of 11, Ryan can remember the excitement that he felt when he first heard about 24/7 worship and prayer. That moment also brought to mind a question he posed to himself: “Why not in Washington, D.C.”

The last several years we’ve prayed and asked the Holy Spirit for a theme for the year as a way to give us a little bit of focus to our worship and our prayers.

‘BEHOLD THE LAMB’ 🐑 🩸

You become what you worship - so as we worship the Lamb, what is that going to draw our lives into when it comes to sacrifice and servanthood?

There are 4 sections of scripture in the prophet Isaiah that are known as servant songs.

- Isaiah’ 42,49,52,53

So we are praying and worshipping into these scripture to ‘Behold the Lamb!

Tonight we celebrated our 10 year anniversary of 24/7 adoration to Jesus on the National Mall! - but the celebration is less about how many years we’ve completed, and more about counting down to His return and the great Wedding Supper of the Lamb.

AND speaking of weddings - 2 David’s Tent couples will be getting married very soon! 🎉

Hear some of their story of how they met while in full time missions, and how God is speaking to them through their relationships, and wedding preparations!

Jesus died to restore relationship with us, and so that we could have relationship with each other!!

What happens on Monday after Communion America?

On Oct. 13th as equipment is torn down and people go back to their homes, David’s Tent DC will continue to go 24/7, and continue to lift high the name of Jesus in this city so that we can see DC redefined as a city that worships the Lord and keeps His presence central at all times.

Communion America is an incredible picture of all the tribes (states) coming together in the capital city to worship at once. On a regular year at David’s Tent DC we do the same thing, we split it up week by week as each state has a designated week within the 52 year calendar.

If you just come here for the big gathers, you may miss the appointed time that God wants to release breakthrough in Washington DC through you. There is no mundane hour on the 24/7 hour watch.

Be the one standing on the wall for America, as a representative for your state, because this is YOUR TENT.

We want to see the nation take ownership of this reality.

Going forward we are going to have an annual inauguration of King Jesus every year at David’s Tent.

The Feast of Tabernacles is looking forward saying, ‘Come, Lord Jesus come!’ The holiday season of the feasts is the yearning of what is yet to be fulfilled

We are excited about next week, not just for revival in America, but because we want to celebrate ‘Come, Lord Jesus come’ holiday.

Isaiah 33:22 is the direct reference from scripture where the three branches of government was taken from.

“The Lord is our judge (judicial branch), the Lord is our lawgiver (legislative branch),

The Lord is our King (executive branch)….

But where would we be without the ‘fourth branch’? the verse CONTINUES with…

…it is He who will save us.”

As we worship here in DC, we believe that as Jesus is lifted up in praise, He will draw all men to himself!

There’s something that unlocks in the heart of Americans when they come to DC to pray for America

Today is Yom Kippur ‘The Day of Atonement’ and is one of the holiest days in the Jewish calendar. As in Jewish tradition, it’s a a day of fasting and reflection where the people go to the temple and repent of their sins for the year.

The Sacraments:

- The bread which is the body

- The blood which is His blood

Jesus body was broken, it forgave us for the trespasses our transgressions against the law because we’re all lawbreakers.

The blood of Christ removes iniquity - all sin. Without the shedding of blood, there is no removal there is no atonement for sin.

The atonement of Jesus is EVERYTHING.

Food has to be good in order to get people to the table - that’s part of it!

It’s got to be hot 🍲

It’s got to be on time ⏱️

God gave us taste buds because He wants us to enjoy the gift of food. But, it’s not just about the taste, it’s not just about the food, it’s about getting around the table - getting around the community to fellowship.

We meet with God in the midst of meeting with each other.

That’s why we as a community come around the table 4 times a week together for dinner to enjoy GOOD FOOD and fellowship.

Jesus is worthy of His church gathering together around the dinner table to fellowship!

Tent Mandate - Antioch DC (local DC church) staffed and lead 61 straight hours at David’s Tent:

- people on the mall walked into the tent and got saved

- people rededicated their lives to Jesus

- a local family walked in, connected with Antioch, went to church on Sunday and joined a small group!
