No witnesses and no documents. This is what the GOP voted for and it was more (briefly) soul crushing than many of us anticipated. Not even 4 decent Republican Senators? No..because letting the public see the evidence would expose their party too much.

The difference between ‘nepotism’ (Jared & Ivanka bypassing negative security assessments & being directly appointed to US govt positions by a relative) and ‘benefiting from association’ ie lawyer Hunter Biden being appointed by non-relatives to a Ukrainian position.

Trump has a cult following, so it can sometimes help to talk about the corruption of *other* people in the GOP, without mentioning Trump. We can use Twitter to directly ask journalists to report on Pompeo’s misconduct etc.

Fascism - helped along by a coalition of convenience between authoritative Christians, vulture capitalists, and our own passivity in the face of religious backlash against social change.

Can men imaginatively sympathise with the idea of intrusive and legislatively mandated Transvaginal ultrasounds for women seeking to exercise reproductive choice, after an unintended pregnancy? Yes. So let’s build alliances.

Disinformation has been weaponised and the defeat of fascism isn’t a foregone conclusion. Fascists stop us from addressing climate change, & they turn us against each other. We need to overturn misconceptions & heal divides. I’m here to help!

What is fuelling the motivated thinking that allows so many to ignore evidence of high crimes and misdemeanours? What can we do to counter this pernicious influence?
