Hello, my name is Antonio Sanz and I'm going to talk about RSS, how to create a podcast and how to share it with podcast players!
I will also talk about the program I use to record the audios, where to download it and how to configure it.
So… What is an RSS? RSS means Really Simple Syndication, although some say it means "Rich Site Sumary". RSS is basically an XML code file that contains all the important information of a web site and that can be read by all the podcast players, which allows us not to upload an audio file to each of these podcast players but to share the link and update it.
And what is a podcast? A podcast is a digital audio or video file that is available for streaming or download over the internet. Podcasts cover a wide range of topics, from news and education to entertainment and storytelling. They're a great way to share your knowledge, opinions, or stories with a global audience.
But What do you need to make a podcast? To set up the podcast and have an RSS feed on rss.com we will need to create an account and activate it with the code that will be sent to our email. Once done, we will create our RSS feed, where we will need a title, a description and select the language of the podcast. We will also be able to add an image. Once created, we will be able to add the episodes to our podcast, which will have their corresponding titles, descriptions and audio file. When we have everything we will click on publish now!
When our podcast has an episode, we can share it by clicking on the Distribution tab, where we will find different podcast players like amazon, spotify or Google where we can publish our podcast and share it.
Where can you download a sound recording software? To record the audio file I will use the program Audacity which is a very popular and simple audio file editor. Just download it from their website, install it, open the program and press the record button. This will generate an audio file that we will upload directly to our podcast.
Having said all this, I'll say goodbye! Best regards!
