DAWGS OFF THE LEASH

The Bulldogs return to the top of the college football world as the #1 team in the country after a lackluster performance against the Samford Bulldogs. Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Florida, Baylor showed us why it's important to take every opponent seriously. Although the offense didn't impress on Saturday the defense pitched the latest of a nation's best 9 shutouts under Kirby since 2016! Dawgs get ready to head to Colombia, SC to open SEC play against the Gamecocks & Week 1 of the NFL was nuts. Give me all the football!

Check in with OTL host Keegan- who will breakdown UGA's first home game of the season against Samford. Hear about some interesting connections between the two bulldog repping Universities. && also what else is in store for Week 2 of college football. Thanks for listening & Go DAWGS!

Saturday in Atlanta was an absolute movie as the Dawgs reminded the College football world that we ARE NOT LSU (or their Families). The Dawgs dominated the Ducks 49-3 like Balerion the Dread would've dominate a village in forest full of cabins. In true Dragon Con fashion, Stetson Bennett and the UGA offense roared to nearly 600 yards of production en route to 7 touchdowns, meanwhile the only touchdown Oregon saw was their plane landing back in Eugene. A pair of All-Conference (PAC-12) Linebackers were no match for the Mailman and Todd Monkens' gameplan and frankly looked like livestock in the wilderness. Dawgs move up to #2 in the ranking & on to week 2 opponent Samford.

How well do you know the Georgia Bulldogs? Chito and Keegan open with some trivia so nobody can test your fandom! Plus, UGA is set to open the SZN @ #3 in the AP rankings AFTER winning the National Championship, giving the dawgs extra motivation to prove 21' wasn't a fluke. 24 Days remain between now and kick-off in Mercedes-Benz Stadium as the Dawgs continue to battle for positions on the depth chart in fall camp. Won't be long until the leaves start changing, Go Dawgs!

Georgia adds talent for the class of 2023, 24', 25' and gets a much-needed surge as other programs continue to spend money $ and recruit at a high level. SEC Media Days take place next week in ATL with the Dawgs taking stage on Wednesday with Stetson, Nolan, & SVPG to discuss 2023, and possible conference changes. Join Chito and Keegan for all your Dawg intel!

Chito and Keegan provide a one-stop Off-SZN roundup to bring you up to speed on ALL things UGA. Monken and Hartley earn well-deserved raises, and Phil Steele releases his pre-szn All-American list with no shortage of Bulldogs heading into 2022. As the Summer heats up, so does UGA Recruiting, which has landing 3 players in the last week with fireworks on the horizon come July.  Only 73 days until UGA vs ORE in ATL.. we can hardly wait.

Kirby Smart and the Dawgs impress on the first day of the NFL Draft with ALL FIVE of its' draft picks coming from the defense that led UGA to its first CFB Title in 41 years! Travon Walker makes school history becoming the #1 Overall pick to JAX, Jordan Davis #13: PHI, Quay Walker #22: GB, Devonte Wyatt #28: GB, Lewis Cine #32: MIN with many more players expected to come off the board on Day 2. Just remember though "Kirby can't develop".

Jared Zirkel's game winning FG gets the Black team (First team Offense) a steak dinner in a 26-23 victory over the Red Team (First team Defense) who will enjoy world class beanie weenies as UGA officially wraps up spring practice. Arik Gilbert returns and reminds everyone why he was a 5-star All-American coming out of high school with 2 TD's, and Jamon Dumas-Johnson answers some questions @ ILB with his game high 7 tackles for the Red squad. UGA loses JT Daniels to the transfer portal (WVU), but gets some big news on Amarius Mims! All this & more on DawgsOTL.
