Sometimes courage looks like doing the next faithful thing when the options are terrifying. Moses’ parents live under Pharaoh’s death order.
A man and woman from the tribe of Levi have a son. When his mother sees that he is a fine child, she hides him for three months.
Hebrews 11 says Moses was hidden by his parents because they saw he was beautiful, and they were not afraid of the king’s command. Their faith echoes through Exodus 2.
God can preserve life through fragile means: a basket, a sister’s watchfulness, a princess’s compassion, and a mother’s courage. He works under the surface before Moses ever knows His own name.
Moses is preserved from a ruler’s death order and will later become Israel’s deliverer. Jesus is also born under a violent king and preserved by God’s providence.
Choose one vulnerable person or situation you can protect in a small but real way. Speak up, check in, refuse a cruel comment, ask an adult for help, or offer support.

REFLECT & RESPOND
Key Line: Courage is faithful action before you know how the outcome will unfold.
Reflection Question: What next faithful step have you delayed because you are waiting to feel fearless?
Practice: Protect or support one vulnerable person today through a specific action.
