DAY 127: 2 Samuel 6–7; 1 Chronicles 17
2 Samuel 6–7 and 1 Chronicles 17 bring us to one of the defining moments in redemptive history, where God’s presence enters Jerusalem and the Lord establishes His everlasting covenant with David. These chapters reveal that the kingdom of God is not ultimately secured by human effort or achievement, but by God’s own covenant promise and faithful presence, as He declares that He Himself will build an enduring house and throne for David. They ultimately point directly to Jesus Christ, the true Son of David whose kingdom never ends, who dwells among His people as the greater temple, and whose reign is now advancing across the earth as every enemy is steadily brought beneath His feet.
