Today we’re in John 13, where Jesus gives us one of the clearest pictures of servant leadership. The King of Kings takes a towel, kneels down, and washes the disciples’ feet. He willingly takes the position of a servant.
These were dirty, messy feet. And yet Jesus doesn’t hesitate. He goes to the lowest place and serves with humility and love.
This reminds us of how good our God is. He meets us in our mess, washes us clean, and serves us through His grace and His Word. And then He invites us to do the same for others.
May we live with gratitude for what Jesus has done in our lives and let that gratitude move us to serve. To go where others won’t. To love the way He first loved us.
Love you, church.
