Proverbs 13

- Wisdom favors discipline, diligence, and guarded speech, while folly leads to ruin through laziness, rash words, and bad company.

- Righteousness brings reward and satisfaction; wickedness results in downfall, despite temporary gains.

Psalm 61

- David cries out from afar when faint-hearted, seeking God as refuge, strong tower, and shelter under His wings; he prays for the king's prolonged life and vows lifelong praise.

Psalm 62

- The soul finds true rest and unshakable security only in God as rock, salvation, and fortress; humans are fleeting and unreliable, so trust God alone, who holds power and steadfast love.

Psalm 63

- In the wilderness, David thirsts earnestly for God, praising His surpassing love; he rejoices in God's help, clings to Him, and foresees enemies' defeat while the king rejoices.

Psalm 64

- David seeks protection from wicked conspirators who ambush with sharp words; God will suddenly strike them down, causing all to fear His works as the righteous rejoice and take refuge.

Psalm 65

- Praise awaits God in Zion for hearing prayer, forgiving sins, and blessing His people; He displays power over creation and bountifully provides rain, enriching the earth with abundant harvests that rejoice.
