Welcome back to Reading Through the Bible Together. Today we’re reading Exodus 9–12.

Pharaoh hardens, the plagues intensify, and God draws a clear line between Egypt and His people. There will be no negotiated freedom and no halfway deliverance. The Lord is showing that He alone is God, and He will rescue His people by power.

These chapters lead to the center of Exodus: the Passover. Judgment comes, and the only refuge is not effort or worthiness, but the blood of a spotless lamb. A substitute dies so the household can live. Israel is brought out, and God commands them to remember, because salvation is meant to be confessed and celebrated.

Exodus 9–12 points straight to Jesus, our Passover Lamb, whose blood covers sinners and whose death brings true deliverance.

If you haven’t read Exodus 9–12 yet, pause and read it first, then come back and let’s walk through it together. We’ll close, as always, with a clear word of gospel hope for weak and weary sinners.
