New beginnings do not automatically erase old weaknesses. You can leave a hard season, make new promises, start fresh, and still find sin waiting in the family, the group chat, the private habit, or the way you respond under stress.
Noah’s sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, become the ancestors of the peoples who spread across the earth. Noah plants a vineyard, drinks wine, becomes drunk, and lies uncovered in his tent.
Ephesians 5 tells believers not to participate in the works of darkness but to expose them. That exposure is not gossip, mockery, or using someone’s failure for entertainment.
God does not hide the failures of His people. Scripture tells the truth about Noah after showing His faith, which means God values honesty more than polished reputations.
Jesus enters a family line filled with real sin and shame. At the cross, He is publicly stripped, mocked, and exposed, yet He bears our disgrace to cover us with mercy.
Before sharing a story, screenshot, rumor, or embarrassing detail about someone, stop and ask whether it brings truth into the light or spreads shame for attention. Delete one thing you should not share, or refuse to join one conversation that treats someone’s failure as entertainment.

God, I know how easy it is to enjoy someone else’s embarrassment. Forgive me for spreading shame or hiding truth in unhealthy ways. Teach me to bring darkness into Your light with courage and mercy.
