DAY 145: 1 Chronicles 23–25
1 Chronicles 23–25 marks a major transition in Israel’s history as David shifts from warfare and political conflict toward preparing the kingdom for lasting worship, covenant order, and peace beneath the presence of God. These chapters reveal that the goal of God’s kingdom is not endless conquest, but a people whose entire national life is carefully ordered around reverent worship, thanksgiving, holiness, and joyful praise before the Lord. They ultimately point to Christ, the greater Temple and eternal King, who conquers His enemies in order to establish everlasting peace and gather worshipers from every nation into a kingdom filled with ordered, joyful, and unending praise to God.
