Today we’re in John 15, where Jesus gives us this simple but powerful invitation, “Remain in Me, and I will remain in you.” A branch cannot produce fruit if it’s disconnected from the vine. Apart from Him, we can do nothing.
Fruit grows on the branches, but life comes from the vine. The nourishment, strength, and ability to thrive all come from staying connected to the source.
This is a reminder that we are called to depend on Jesus. To stay close. To remain rooted in His presence, His Word, and His love. Even our desire to seek Him comes from Him.
As we continue this fast, let’s choose to remain in Jesus, knowing that when we stay connected, fruit will follow.
Be blessed, church.
