Proverbs 16

- The Lord weighs motives and establishes plans; commitment to Him brings success, while pride leads to downfall and the king's heart is directed like water in God's hand.

Psalms 76 - 80

- Psalm 76: God is renowned in Judah as a fearsome warrior who breaks the weapons of foes; from His heavenly dwelling He judges and saves the humble.

- Psalm 77: In deep distress, the psalmist recalls God's past deeds, meditates on His wonders, and finds comfort in remembering the redemption of His people.

- Psalm 78: A lengthy recital of Israel's history, recounting God's miracles in Egypt and the wilderness contrasted with the people's repeated rebellion, yet He chose Judah and David to shepherd them.

- Psalm 79: A lament over Jerusalem's destruction by pagans who defiled the temple; the psalmist pleads for deliverance, forgiveness, and vengeance on the nations for God's glory.

- Psalm 80: A plea for restoration using the vine metaphor for Israel, urging God to look down, revive His people, and save them by the light of His face.
