Welcome to Day 16 of the Returning Daughter 40-Day Fast. Today we meditate on 1 Peter 2:9–10 and reflect on what it truly means to be chosen by God. We are a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and God’s special possession. He called us out of darkness and into His wonderful light so that we could declare His goodness and walk confidently in His love.

In this devotion, we are reminded that God’s hand has always been on our lives. Even in seasons of pain, rejection, or loss, His grace has been present, leading us back to His heart. We are not forgotten or overlooked. We are chosen, redeemed, and loved with purpose.

In this devotion, we reflect on:

• How God’s hand has always been at work in our stories

• Why being chosen means being set apart for His glory

• How His light restores our confidence and belonging
