It matters to know you are remembered. Not vaguely, not as part of a crowd, but by name.
God commands Moses to make the breastplate of judgment with skilled craftsmanship, using gold, blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and fine linen. It is square and holds twelve precious stones, each engraved with the name of one tribe of Israel.
Hebrews 7 says Jesus is able to save completely those who draw near to God through Him because He always lives to intercede for them. Aaron carried Israel’s names symbolically when he entered the holy place.
God wants His people represented before Him. Their names are not forgotten in the holy place.
The breastplate points to Jesus, our true High Priest. He bears His people not on engraved stones but through His own sacrifice and resurrection life.
Write your name and the names of three people you care about. Pray each name before God, remembering that Jesus carries His people perfectly.

REFLECT & RESPOND
Key Line: Jesus carries His people before the Father with a grip that never loosens.
Reflection Question: Where do you need to stop trying to represent yourself before God and trust Christ’s intercession?
Practice: Write four names, including your own, and pray for each person specifically today.

PRAYER
Father, thank You that I am not forgotten before You. Thank You for Jesus, who carries me and intercedes for me perfectly. Help me stop trusting my own record and rest in His priestly work.
