You dress differently for different moments because some roles carry weight. A uniform can remind someone that their actions represent more than personal preference.
God gives instructions for the robe of the ephod, made entirely of blue, with an opening reinforced so it will not tear. Around its hem are pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, with golden bells between them.
Hebrews 4 says we have a great High Priest, Jesus the Son of God, who has passed through the heavens. Because He sympathizes with our weaknesses and remained without sin, we can draw near to the throne of grace with confidence.
God is holy and gracious. The engraved plate says “Holy to the Lord,” and Aaron bears guilt so Israel’s gifts may be accepted.
Jesus is the holy High Priest who needs no special plate to declare His holiness. He is holy in Himself.
Bring one imperfect act of worship to God: prayer, service, giving, or Scripture reading. Do it honestly, not performatively.

REFLECT & RESPOND
Key Line: Even your best worship needs the mercy of your perfect High Priest.
Reflection Question: Where are you tempted to trust the quality of your worship more than the mercy of Jesus?
Practice: Offer one imperfect but honest act of worship today and thank Jesus for making it acceptable.

PRAYER
Jesus, my great High Priest, thank You for making it possible for me to come near. My worship is often distracted and imperfect, but You are holy and merciful. Help me approach the Father with reverence, honesty, and confidence because of Your grace.
