Some things you cannot see still fill a room. A scent, a memory, a whispered prayer, a quiet fear—small things can rise and linger.
God commands Moses to make an altar of acacia wood overlaid with gold for burning incense. It is placed before the veil near the ark, and Aaron must burn fragrant incense on it every morning and at twilight when he tends the lamps.
Revelation 8 shows incense rising with the prayers of the saints before God. That image echoes the incense altar.
God receives worship that He Himself orders. The incense is regular, fragrant, and protected from unauthorized use.
The incense altar and atonement money point to Jesus, who brings His people near and makes their prayers acceptable. He gives not silver, but Himself as the ransom for many.
Set aside two minutes for prayer that no one else sees. Picture your words rising before God through Jesus.

REFLECT & RESPOND
Key Line: What feels unseen in prayer still rises before the God who hears.
Reflection Question: How would your prayer life change if you believed your unseen prayers mattered before God?
Practice: Pray quietly for two minutes today, naming three people who equally need God’s mercy.

PRAYER
God, thank You that You hear the prayers of Your people. Teach me not to treat prayer as small because it is unseen. Thank You that Jesus ransomed my life and makes my prayers acceptable.
