What someone reveals about themselves matters. After Israel’s betrayal with the golden calf, God does not introduce Himself as unpredictable, petty, or cold.
The Lord tells Moses to cut two new stone tablets like the first ones and come up Mount Sinai in the morning. No one else may come near.
John 1 says the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth. It also says grace and truth came through Jesus Christ, and the Son has made the Father known.
God is not divided against Himself. His mercy does not erase His justice, and His justice does not cancel His grace.
Jesus is grace and truth in flesh. At the cross, God forgives sin without clearing guilt cheaply, because Christ bears judgment in our place.
Write Exodus 34:6-7 in your own words. Circle one attribute of God you most need to believe right now.

REFLECT & RESPOND
Key Line: God’s mercy and justice meet without compromise in Jesus Christ.
Reflection Question: Which part of God’s revealed name do you most struggle to believe or receive?
Practice: Rewrite Exodus 34:6-7 in your own words and pray one phrase over your life.

PRAYER
Lord, You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. Help me know You as You truly are, not as I imagine You. Thank You for revealing grace and truth in Jesus.
