Being with someone can change you. Their habits, words, attitude, and presence start to leave a mark.
The Lord gives Moses covenant instructions again: keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread, consecrate the firstborn, observe Sabbath, celebrate the appointed feasts, bring firstfruits, and avoid idolatrous compromise. Moses remains with the Lord forty days and nights, without eating bread or drinking water, and writes the words of the covenant on the tablets.
Second Corinthians 3 reflects on Moses’ shining face and veil, saying the old covenant had glory, but the new covenant has greater, lasting glory through the Spirit. In Christ, the veil is removed.
God renews covenant with a people who have failed, and His presence transforms those who draw near. Moses’ shining face is not self-generated.
Moses’ reflected glory fades, but Jesus reveals unfading glory. Through His death and resurrection, He brings the new covenant and removes the veil for all who turn to Him.
Choose one thing you have been looking at too much that is shaping you poorly. Replace ten minutes of that with Scripture, prayer, or quiet attention to Jesus.

REFLECT & RESPOND
Key Line: You are being formed by what you keep beholding.
Reflection Question: What has been shaping you most lately: God’s glory or something that pulls you away from Him?
Practice: Replace ten minutes of a distracting influence with Scripture, prayer, or quiet focus on Jesus.

PRAYER
God, I am shaped by what I keep looking at. Turn my attention toward Jesus and remove the veils that keep me from seeing His glory. Thank You for the new covenant and the Spirit’s transforming work.
