Following instructions can feel limiting when you want to improvise. But some things matter too much to build however you prefer.

The skilled workers make the tabernacle with fine linen curtains woven with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and cherubim. The curtains are joined with loops and gold clasps to form one whole.

Hebrews 8 says the earthly sanctuary was a copy and shadow of heavenly things, and Moses was warned to make everything according to the pattern shown on the mountain. Exodus 36 shows that warning being obeyed.

God is precise and purposeful. His details are not filler.

The tabernacle was a shadow, but Jesus is the substance. He is the true meeting place between God and humanity.

Choose one area where you have been improvising instead of obeying God’s revealed wisdom. Look up one Scripture that speaks to it.

REFLECT & RESPOND

Key Line: A life built for God must follow the wisdom God has revealed.

Reflection Question: Where are you asking God to bless a structure you are building from your own preferences?

Practice: Read one Scripture about a specific life area and take one action that obeys it today.
