DAY 18: GENESIS 19-20
What does faith look like when promise and judgment collide?
In today’s episode of Five Minute Bible, we read Genesis 19–21, where God’s promise keeps moving forward—but not in a clean or comfortable way. Rescue and judgment arrive side by side. Joy and sorrow are intertwined. God is faithful, even as the world around His promise remains deeply broken.
These chapters refuse to simplify the story. God judges corruption. God rescues the vulnerable. God keeps His word—often through fearful, flawed people. Nothing here feels tidy. And yet nothing escapes God’s hand.
As you read today, consider this guiding question:
How does God remain faithful when everyone involved is painfully imperfect?
Watch how mercy and justice coexist, how failure does not stop God’s plan, and how fulfillment does not erase pain. Faithfulness here is not sentimental—it is costly, complex, and real.
Read your Bible carefully, devotionally, and joyfully—and join us tomorrow as the journey continues.
