Today, on our final day, we’re in John 21, where the disciples aren’t sure what’s next, so they go back to what they know and head out fishing. All night, they catch nothing. As morning comes, a man on the shore calls out and tells them to cast their nets on the other side of the boat. They obey, not even realizing it’s Jesus, and suddenly the catch is more than they can carry.
Here’s what’s so powerful. They didn’t fully understand who was speaking, but they obeyed anyway, and the harvest exceeded anything they expected.
And when they reach the shore, Jesus already has breakfast waiting. Fish on the fire. Bread prepared. Before the harvest ever came in, Jesus had already met their needs.
This is such an encouragement for us. We can move forward in obedience, even when we don’t have all the answers, knowing that Jesus is already ahead of us. Our provision doesn’t depend on us. He’s already making a way.
If God is calling you into something new, or you’re unsure about what’s next, remember this. Jesus is already on the shore. Your needs are covered. And His goodness doesn’t stop at meeting needs. It overflows into abundance.
See you in church tomorrow!
