Day 27: from Proverbs and Psalms
Proverbs 27
- Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring
- Better is open rebuke than hidden love; faithful are the wounds of a friend
Psalm 131
- My heart is not proud, O Lord; I do not concern myself with great matters
- Like a weaned child with its mother, my soul is quieted within me
Psalm 132
- The Lord swore an oath to David that his descendants would sit on the throne
- Arise, O Lord, and go to Your resting place with the ark of Your strength
Psalm 133
- How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity
- It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down Aaron’s beard
Psalm 134
- Come, bless the Lord, all you servants who stand by night in the house of the Lord
- Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord
Psalm 135
- Praise the Lord, for He is good; sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant
- The Lord has chosen Israel for Himself and will judge all the nations
