Day 29: From Proverbs and Psalms

Proverbs 29

- Warnings against stubbornness, corrupt leadership, and flattery; righteous rulers bring joy while the wicked oppress the poor.

- Discipline and integrity lead to stability; bloodthirsty people hate the blameless, but the upright seek their welfare.

Psalm 141

- Prayer for God to guard the speaker's mouth and heart from evil, and to protect from the snares of the wicked.

Psalm 142

- Cry for mercy in desperation, feeling trapped and alone; trust that God is the refuge and will deliver.

Psalm 143

- Plea for God to hear and answer quickly amid enemies; seeking guidance and revival by God's righteousness and lovingkindness.

Psalm 144

- Praise to God as warrior and fortress; wonder at man's insignificance, prayer for victory and blessing on descendants.

Psalm 145

- Exaltation of God's greatness, majesty, and goodness; He is gracious, merciful, upholding the falling and providing for all creation.
