DAY 34: Exodus 13-15
What if freedom has been declared—but danger is still behind you?
In today’s episode of Five Minute Bible, we come to Exodus 13–15, where redemption has already been accomplished, but trust has not yet been learned. Israel is free. The blood has been applied. And yet the path forward immediately leads into uncertainty, fear, and pursuit.
These chapters force a difficult question into the open. If God has truly delivered His people, why does the enemy still appear powerful? Why does freedom feel fragile? And why does God lead His redeemed people straight into places where escape seems impossible?
As you read today, keep this guiding question in mind:
Why does God promise victory before He visibly removes the threat?
Watch how memory is commanded before safety is felt, how trust is required before rescue is seen, and how worship erupts even as the wilderness waits ahead. Redemption has been secured—but living like it is true will take time.
Read your Bible carefully, devotionally, and joyfully—and join us tomorrow as the journey of a redeemed people continues beyond the moment of victory.
