DAY 39: Exodus 28-29
What does it take for a human being to survive the presence of a holy God?
In today’s episode of Five Minute Bible, we turn to Exodus 28–29, where the focus shifts from sacred space to sacred servants. The dwelling place has been prepared. Now the question is unavoidable: who can enter—and how?
These chapters press a sobering reality to the surface. Nearness to God is not secured by sincerity, courage, or good intentions. Access requires representation. Names must be carried. Guilt must be covered. Blood must come first. Without mediation, holiness is not comforting—it is dangerous.
As you read today, keep this guiding question in mind:
Why does access to God require a mediator rather than sincerity alone?
Watch how God appoints, clothes, and consecrates those who will stand where others cannot. Notice how care, caution, and sacrifice surround every step toward His presence. Glory is real—but so is the cost of drawing near.
Read your Bible carefully, devotionally, and joyfully—and join us tomorrow as glory is tested and mediation is put to the breaking point.
