DAY 44: Leviticus 1-4
If God is truly dwelling in the middle of the camp… what keeps the people alive?
In today’s episode of Five Minute Bible, we step into Leviticus 1–4—the opening answer to life with a holy God.
Exodus ended with glory filling the tabernacle. God moved in. The problem is obvious: sinful people now live next door to blazing holiness.
Leviticus does not lower the temperature. It builds an altar.
Burnt offerings. Grain offerings. Peace offerings. Sin offerings. Blood on the altar. Guilt transferred. Life given so life can continue.
These chapters quietly teach something sobering:
Even unintentional sin disrupts communion.
Holiness cannot be managed. It must be atoned for.
But just as clearly, they teach something astonishing:
God does not move out.
He makes a way.
Sacrifice becomes the bridge between holiness and humanity.
As you read today, consider this question:
What does it cost for God to dwell with His people?
Tomorrow, we move into Leviticus 5–7, where guilt, restitution, and responsibility deepen the picture. Forgiveness restores relationship—but it also reshapes life.
