The basics
- The goal is: Hearing all the cool stuff someone else is doing/having and NOT MAKING it about yourself
- Everything you see on social media has nothing to do with you
- So why should we make it about you?
Bringing the attention back to YOU
- A realization I had in a Buddhist monastery years ago: “I don’t want what others want”
- I have my own unique set of wishes, dreams and things that are important in life for me
- So, it doesn’t sense that I compare myself with others who WANT that
- It’s never about what others are doing or why they are doing it
- It’s about bringing the attention back to what you want
- Do you want to adjust your lifestyle and priorities, so you can also get/do/be the “thing” you are comparing yourself with?
- If it’s a no, then bring the attention back to yourself: It’s cool that she has this but it’s not my priority, so it doesn’t make sense that I compare myself with her
Selbstbewusstsein
- The German word for confidence is Selbstbewusstsein. If you take the words apart it means: sich seiner selbst bewusst sein. To be aware of one self
- That means knowing yourself to the deepest core
- Knowing your strengths and weaknesses
- Knowing your magic and the magic you bring to this world
- So, freaking please: Be aware of your awesomeness and: DO YOU
6-Step process to drop comparison
- Step 1: The key is to catch yourself then, make it fun “Oh lol, it happened again!”
- Step 2: Comparison and joy cannot live in the same container.
- Step 3: Can you shift the energy from feeling bad to being inspired?
- Can you use this to be inspired rather than feeling bad?
- If she has achieved this, it means it’s possible for me too!
- Step 4: Choose joy, you always have a choice. Choice is your superpower.
- Step 5: When you feel that you can’t shift the energy to a positive intention behind it, then ask yourself “Why is this triggering me?
- Step 6: Detox. Try to set up your boundaries against the people/situations that trigger comparison that leaves you feeling bad.

- Step 7 or more step 0: Know who you are
- This is the foundation!
- Not only for dropping comparison but for this whole 5-day challenge
- The foundation of being confident is: Knowing who you are!
- Know what you bring to the table
- Be aware of your strengths and your unique gift
- Allow yourself to shine, and refuse to ever dim your light again
- And allow yourself to come back to who you truly are
