Lonely nights can make everything feel bigger. Your mistakes, fears, future, and regrets get louder when you are away from what feels safe.
Jacob leaves Beersheba and travels toward Haran. At sunset, he stops for the night, takes a stone as a pillow, and sleeps.
In John 1, Jesus tells Nathanael he will see heaven opened and angels ascending and descending on the Son of Man. Jesus takes the Bethel image and centers it on Himself.
God comes near to undeserving people. Jacob has not cleaned up His life or repaired His family, yet God speaks promise over Him.
Jesus is the greater Bethel, the true connection between heaven and earth. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He opens the way to the Father.
Find one place where you feel alone, displaced, or unsure. Say out loud, “God can meet me here.” Then read Genesis 28:15 and write one phrase from it somewhere visible.

Reflection Question: Where do you feel too far, too guilty, or too alone to expect God’s presence?
Practice: Write one phrase from Genesis 28:15 and place it where you will see it today.

PRAYER
God, thank You for meeting people in lonely and undeserving places. I need Your presence more than I need perfect circumstances. Help me believe that You are with me because of Your promise, not because I have earned it.
