Work can get complicated when money, fairness, and trust all collide. You may know what it feels like to be used, underpaid, overlooked, or pressured to prove yourself.

After Joseph is born, Jacob asks Laban to send him away so he can return to his own country. Laban admits that the Lord has blessed him because of Jacob and asks him to name his wages.

Proverbs 10 says the blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it. Jacob’s gain does not come from Laban’s generosity.

God provides for His people in complicated economic situations. He sees unfairness, labor, wages, and dependence.

Jacob’s growing wealth cannot solve the deeper problem of sin, rivalry, and exile. We need more than provision; we need redemption.

Look at one area of work or money where you feel anxious or mistreated. Ask God for provision and integrity together.

REFLECT & RESPOND

Key Line: God’s provision reaches the places where work, pressure, and fairness feel tangled.

Reflection Question: Where do you need to trust God for provision without choosing anxiety, greed, or dishonesty?

Practice: Take one responsible, honest step today in your work, school, chores, or money habits.
