In this episode of Reading Through the Bible Together, we’re reading 1 Chronicles 1–5, where the story begins not with events, but with names.

These genealogies trace the line from Adam through the tribes of Israel. At first glance, it can feel repetitive, but it’s deeply intentional. God is showing continuity. His promises are not lost, even after exile. Every name represents a life, a story, and a place in God’s unfolding plan.

The focus gradually narrows to Israel, reminding us that God is working through a specific people to accomplish a global purpose.

These chapters teach us that God does not forget His people. Even when history feels broken, His story continues.
