Welcome to Day 8 of the Shadow Work Series, mi gente.
Today we move into the SOUTH of the Medicine Wheel — the heart. This is where emotions live, where tenderness, grief, rage, joy, and love all sit side by side.
Today’s question is real simple, but real deep:
👉 What emotion do I not feel safe expressing — and why?
For some of you, it’s anger, because you watched it destroy things.
For others, it’s sadness, because once you started crying, you didn’t know if you’d ever stop.
And for some… it’s even joy, because somewhere along the way you learned that happiness always comes with a price.
Here’s the truth though — what once kept you safe is now keeping you small.
That emotion you’ve been stuffing down?
It’s living in your body.
It’s shaping your choices.
It’s silencing parts of you that deserve to breathe.
So today, we LET IT OUT.
🗣 Scream into a pillow.
⚡ Beat your mattress with a bat.
💪 Punch a bag at the gym.
😭 Cry until your chest feels lighter.
😂 Laugh until you snort.
The only rules?
Don’t hurt yourself. Don’t hurt anyone else.
This is release — not destruction.
And as you move it out, pay attention.
Notice what rises — memories, feelings, old stories.
That’s your inner child whispering,
“Finally… you’re listening.”
Healing doesn’t come from pretending everything is fine.
It comes from giving yourself permission to feel all of it.
