Power does not protect people from anxiety. A person can have status, money, influence, and still lose sleep over what they cannot understand.

Two full years pass after the cupbearer is restored. Pharaoh dreams that seven healthy cows come up from the Nile, followed by seven ugly, thin cows that eat them.

Daniel 2 praises God as the One who gives wisdom, reveals deep and hidden things, and changes times and seasons. Pharaoh’s story echoes that truth.

God rules over rulers, dreams, timing, and hidden knowledge. He is not locked out of Pharaoh’s palace or limited by Egypt’s spiritual systems.

Joseph is lifted from prison to speak wisdom that will save many lives. Jesus comes from humble circumstances and speaks the wisdom of God, yet He is rejected by the powerful.

When you are given a chance to use a gift, practice giving God credit without making it awkward or fake. Say, “I am thankful God helped me,” or write a private prayer of gratitude before stepping into the opportunity.

Practice: Before using one gift today, pause and thank God for making it possible.

PRAYER

God, You reveal what human wisdom cannot reach. Keep me humble when opportunities come and patient when they delay. Help me use my gifts without worshiping them.
